The "Saker", like the bird of prey, from which its name is derived, is a swift and very maneuverable unit, designed for those of us who enjoy our driving for its sheer pleasure.  Many observers have described the Saker as a true sportscar of the modern era, with a design based on outright performance, rather than trends or fashion.

The main objectives during the design stage were :-

• lightweight.
• minimum frontal area and drag.
• capacity for high down force.
• main weight mass in central position.
• room for V8 or similar type power unit.
• sufficient air intake areas for radiators, intercoolers, air boxes, brakes, etc.
• low center of gravity.
• good access to the engine, suspension, etc.
• two seats, side by side.
• forward hinged doors with descent side window opening and good seals.
• efficient heater demister.
